Platform Architecture & Agents
PerformancePlatform solves the complexity of configuring, running, and diagnosing high-concurrency API performance tests. Instead of writing custom load scripts and maintaining isolated runners, you catalog endpoints from OpenAPI schemas, execute tests inside your private VPC using self-hosted k6 agents, and evaluate latency percentiles, error rates, and regression targets deterministically.
You deploy our lightweight standalone agent binary inside your private cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, virtual machines, or on-premises servers). The agent connects outbound only to the SaaS control plane via encrypted SignalR WebSockets. When a test is dispatched, the agent spawns k6 locally, targets your private microservices directly, and streams summary telemetry back to the dashboard. You never need to open inbound firewall ports.
You only need a machine or VM host with outbound internet access to the SaaS control plane and internal network access to the target APIs you want to load test. The downloadable agent package is self-contained with bundled k6. For lightweight testing (10-100 VUs), a standard developer workstation or small VM is sufficient. For high VU volumes (1,000+ VUs), dedicate appropriate CPU and memory resources on the agent host.
Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Paid plans include access to our remote MCP server over HTTP/SSE. Compatible clients like Cursor, Claude Desktop, and VS Code can query registered agents, list projects and tests, dispatch load tests with
run_load_test, retrieve latency percentiles with get_test_results, compare runs side-by-side with compare_test_runs, and evaluate performance targets with evaluate_performance_targets.
No. Per product policy, Model Context Protocol (MCP) server access is excluded from the Free Trial and is available exclusively to active paid plans (Basic, Medium, and Pro).
Billing, Quotas & Razorpay Subscriptions
Each paid plan grants a specific number of test executions per monthly billing cycle (e.g., 100 on Basic, 500 on Medium, 2,000 on Pro). Starting a run reserves 1 quota unit. If a run is cancelled before load generation begins, the unit is automatically refunded. Monthly allowances do not roll over.
Annual billing is charged as a single discounted payment covering a 12-month recurring cycle (saving approximately 20% compared to paying monthly). Your monthly execution allowance continues to reset automatically every month throughout the year.
Subscriptions renew automatically using Razorpay recurring mandates. You can cancel your subscription at any time via the authenticated Billing page; your plan will remain active until the end of your current paid period. In the event of a failed renewal payment, Razorpay will attempt automatic retries; if consecutive retries fail, the subscription enters a halted state until updated.
